Each parcel of property in Unincorporated Salt Lake County is located within a zoning district as codified in the Salt Lake County Zoning Ordinance – Chapter 19. The zoning districts and other provisions of the ordinance regulate land uses within the County and determine what each property can be used for. Zoning maps are updated after the Planning Commission and County Council have approved applications for zoning changes. The on-line maps include all zoning map amendments approved by the County Council up to March 5, 2007.
The zoning information illustrated on these maps is for general planning and land use purposes only. Verification of current zoning is recommended before entering into any financial agreement. Constraints that are specific to an area should be verified with Salt Lake County Planning and Development Services Division.
